MOTUC Toy Fair Armchair Discussion

Once again thanks to Noisy for rounding up all the Toyfair news and maintaining the checklists. I refer to both upcoming release and previous years quite often.

See anything this year that felt like a must-have? Roton looks nice, but night stalker looked great. Or perhaps more accurately, NS looked more like something useful, roton has a nice bit odd detail but it was never my favorite vehicle. Those would have been, in order spidor, the dragon walker, and bashasaurus.

The horde wraith looks cool, so does tuskador. I like despara, but the alt adora head should have been in box. Pretty much no one else shown even tickles me.

I like pretty much everything except for Roton's face. The big, flaring nostrils just look . . . wrong. Everything else: cool beans. In some cases, exceptionally cool beans.

I just hope they make enough Horde Troopers this time around.

You're not the only person I've seen say they don't like Roton's face.

Indeed, I hope they make enough Horde Troopers to go around!

Is the intent to single pack them this time?

Yup. And with the three spare Trooper heads that come with General Sunder, the possibilities are going to be wonderful.

I'm not sure what numbers they usually order figures in, but I hope they triple or quadruple that! I don't think they'll have ANY trouble unloading their stock. I'm sure there are folks out there who already have dozens upon dozens and would welcome many more. Then there's folks who just want one and can't get their hands on one without paying $60+ per figure...

If they kept the Horde Troopers evergreen, I would happily buy one or two a month until I got to about 50.

Heh... it sure would be nice to have something else to add into the cart when you have to occasionally get a one-off figure in order to make the shipping not sting so much.
