It's VERY hard work, mate, and she ain't loving it so much, any more. Mainly because a lot of people are ungrateful, horrible, vicious, backstabbing, thieving bastiches -- suppliers, customers, YouTube viewers, and employees included.

Yeah, owning a business is certainly not without its challenges. Sometimes you have to ask yourself if it’s really worth it. Whether you’re an online only business or a brick & mortar. There are two sides to every coin when dealing with those groups of people you mentioned. Most people are idiots and so many more are narcissistic a-holes that are so full of themselves.

Exactly! Too many people have taken "The customer is always right" to obscene extremes.

Ugh… that’s for sure.

I think that everyone should have to work at least six months in some sort of public service job so they know what it’s like to be on the receiving end of someone else’s BS. I worked at a fast food joint for about 9 months. I did everything from working the counter, taking orders, working the grill/fryer, making burgers, washing dishes, cleaning the dining room, etc. My least favorite was having to deal with the public, my second least favorite was anything to do with food. I went out of my way not to have to do those. I was always happy to wash dishes, clean, or prep food. It certainly gave me an appreciate for what folks who work in the food service industry have to go through.

I’ve worked in customer service on again/off again for 14 years. First for a bank and then for a phone company. I have spoken to some of the vilest people. Luckily with the phone company we were dealing with other businesses and their help desks, but still, people can be brutal.

My philosophy is that mistakes happen, that’s a given. We’re all human. To err is human, to forgive divine. It’s all about how you deal with the mistake that makes the difference.

Again, exactly!

I come from Torquay and worked in the service sector (the local casino) for 14 and a half years. It is no coincidence that Basil Fawlty is a folk hero amongst Torquinian service-sector employees.

Some exciting Thundercats reveals at ToyFair: Jaga, Cheetara (finally!), Slithe, and Captain Cracker!!!

I'm in Cheetara and Slithe are must-haves. Possibly Jaga but Captain Cracker is going to be an easy pass for me.

Oh, brother. At a time when cash flow is at its worst, too much nifty expensive stuff is coming out. Slithe and the Berserkers would be the only must-haves for me. I had to cancel my Ultimate Mumm-Ra at BBTS because of budget concerns. >SIGH<.

Well, not only that, I was in a collision on February 1st. Five fractures in my hip. Two ambulance rides. Hospital. Tests. X-Rays. Medicines. Physiotherapy. Wheelchair, walker, and home restructuring. Secondary superbug infection. More medicines. Home physiotherapy. Not fun.

On the upside, I'm about 98.8% healed, down to my lowest weight in over two decades, and generally feeling better than I have in years. But those bills are rolling in, and they're pushing $70K. Even with insurance, that's a lot of expenses. >SIGH<
