Collectors' Choice 2016

Postby Beedo Sookcool » Sun Aug 09, 2015 10:49 am

So, has anyone else signed up for this, and looking forward to it as much as I am?

I'm probably going to hate myself a little more for this, but to completely ensure I get three Horde Wraiths next year, I signed up for a third Collectors' Choice sub. Which means that even after I pick out the Horde Wraiths and any custom fodder, I'm going to have a few spares left over if anyone would be interested in buying 'em off me.

Probably / Possibly available will be:
1 x Masque
2 x Vultak
2 x Darius
1 x Despara
1 x Crita
1 x General Sunder
2 x Tuskador

Okay, I've just been contacted by someone on another board, which means pending the agreement, the list of available figures now looks like:

1 x Vultak
2 x Darius
1 x Crita
2 x Tuskador

. . . . and, it's gone through, with apparently 175% of the minimum sign-ups required.

HUZZAH!!!

awesome! i honestly think the 6 month sub is a smarter way to go, and more palettable to subbers, especially when one factors in the new lower per figure cost.

I'm very happy about the 6 month sub. It's much more pallettable and easier on the wallet too. While we might not be getting as much product next year I think the overall quality has gone up and will make each release feel a little more significant.

and i definitely think it'll be easier on the psyche to be able to see an end to the product. whereas at a point in the year, you start to feel burdened with overmuch and you kind of mentally check out. 6 months is only 6 months, and you have time to build anticipation for the next figure. each figure gets time to find it's niche in the collection.

Yup... you'd think one or two figures a month isn't much, but by the time they reach my front door and I actually get to open them, its already near the end of the month and before you know it subs are renewing and the whole process starts over again...

Pass.

No more cost reduced action figures at premium prices for me.
