[quote="Beedo Sookcool"]Probably the same reason I do: offensively cliquey in a "You can't have one, nyah nyah-nyah nyah nyaaaaah nyah." kind of way.[quote]

Same.

power and honor have nothing to do with the org fiasco... or at least, not this org fiasco [smile]

i could be wrong, but i thought the pre-order for the P&HF book was open ended at the time... admittedly, i could be mistaken on that, but i thought so. the only reason i'm not sitting on one right now is simple lack of funds at the time, i would still love to lay hands on one.

Well, that's just it: if you weren't a member of The Org (which I wasn't, and still aren't), how would you know? They didn't actually go out of their way to tell everyone.

I brought that book up over on the MattyCollector forums, and Emiliano himself said he'd like to get an updated and expanded version of that book put out through Dark Horse.

oh hell yeah!! dude, if he's to be believed, and i don't see why not, a small percentage of the archival art and writing concepts that the P&HF had collected appeared in the dark horse book already... but the key there is "a small percentage" i had read on his blog that he had enough material to do four or maybe five catalogs from the materials he already had. i can only imagine...

If they keep putting out volumes I'll keep buying them.

I'd love to get some of those original Earl Norem/RUdy Obrero paintings as posters as lithographs

The snake torso scam was the final blow for me. I can't see myself committing to anymore subs if I can't even trust the company I'm buying from. If they want to pull stunts like this just because it says somewhere in the fine print that they can, than they can go "F" off. It was promised to subbers plain and simple, and now they are making people pay even more for it and extra useless parts.

Besides me, I'm sure this little scam has costed Mattel plenty of customers, old and new. They don't care though because no matter how many people quit collecting from Mattel, they will always have plenty of devoted toy addicts screaming for them to take their money.
