I love that answer. They 'explored ways of adding value.' Then broke for lunch and never mentioned it again...
How much are the day-of oversize figures? $45, and $35 for members?

I believe it's $30 for subscription holders. I just don't understand the $15 hike up in price.

Is that for real? $45?
What are they basing that off of, C&C eBay prices?

Would love to see them try to sell Black Lantern Swampy @$45 a pop!

Found it, quoting because I can't find a permlink:
Prices for figures sold outside the subscription during our monthly sales at MattyCollector.com will be $18 for 6" figures and $45 for oversized figures. The subscription is the only way to guarantee the lower prices and get fan-favorite Metron, which will not be sold at MattyCollector.com!
See the September 14th entry on:
http://www.mattycollector.com/store/mat ... bPage.NewsRegular figures are still $1 cheaper then retail! Such a discount!

I don't get the $45 thing. That seems just stupid. Then again, I'm sure folks think the $30 is too much... (and it probably is)

Yeah, I remember discussing that here, maybe in your article about the fan subscription club.
The raise in price for CnCs was not proportional to the raise in price for standard figures.
My only guess since then is that they saw the chance for more day of sales on CnCs than on some of the standard, so they're trying to milk those more.

I see C&C figures sell for around $35 to $55 dollars on the secondary market all the time, too.

After the last Q&A, anyone satisfied with Mattel's decision to go for FP Plastic Man in this wave?
And I think they also confirmed what I we all figured, Batman Beyond will be a wingless, wrong-buck reissue.

Well, I never got the original BB figure and the only one I ever see is the mask less one on eBay. Its like that with Captain Atom too, always the Gold variant, never the silver. So Im ok with him. Will just have to sigh and move on past the FP Plas though.
