The invoices they sent out were such a blunder. The math behind them made sense but we placed those orders almost a year ago. They should have cleaned them up before sending them out, and they should have corrected the prices and amounts charged for people like me who ordered their subs before the price of the figures was dropped down to 15 dollars.

After crisscrossing all of California and Nevada...i finally have a Jay Garrick figure in my hot little hands. He's a pretty nice figure. I dont see Matty's signature or Jay Garrick's signature on the figure or the packaging....dunno why its a "Signature Collection"

Because Mattel is bad at branding.

Jay may be waiting for me at the mailbox. Not sure though.

Waffling on selling Atrocitus after I get him in hand. Not really a lantern fan.

perhaps this definition might help clarify a little:

3. A distinctive mark, characteristic, or sound indicating identity

the series is nothing if not a hallmark of mediocrity... that as specific an identity as mattel has.

I don't care what they call it, I remember when it was S3 "Select Sculpt Series" before DCSH!

Jay Garrick is a lot of fun! I lament the ongoing loss of rocker ankles, particularly on the runners, but I'm happy to have him on my shelves. The face sculpt is great, the belt only adds a smidge of extra height, and the vac-u metal helmet really makes him pop!

Jay arrived for me too! He's great! And unlike every other DCUC figure I have, I can't find a hint of deco slop on him. Yes, I am praising Matty quality control, and this just in, the Devil had to buy a parka...

My invoice shows my Club Infinite Earths Initial figure at $15...shipping at $8.70....bringing it to a grand total of....$57.60? Am i missing something? I'm pretty sure i read the fine print before subscribing.

twofisted wrote:Just checked my actual bank statement. I was only charged the $26. Hope to hell my figure gets here. What a great start to the sub!!

Mine was $15 for the figure, $11.75 for shipping and then a grand total of $76.75
Somehow it's still not on my CC statement so I haven't bothered to call yet.
What bothers me is a fellow, local collector bought his on day of sale, and was charged the lower $8ish shipping.

twofisted, look at your comments above, you originally mention $8.70 for shipping, but look at your charge total, looks like they hit with the $11 shipping

are you accounting for tax? i know Matty has a habit of one day not charging tax to a certain area and then charging tax the next.

Always keep an eye on the CC statement, but after the e-mail said $200 something and the package invoice said $80 something for mine, the actual charge was still the correct $41 or so it was supposed to be.

That should be the difference between shipping methods. Digital River calls their slower, "logistical" shipping "USPS Ground". That's the one that takes a couple days longer and ping-pongs around the countryside on it's way to you and always runs around $8 for one or two figures. The UPS Ground usually is about $12 and is only a couple days faster, but makes you feel better.

nothing was marked as tax. Do they put that into shipping?

But I ordered the cheaper shipping :(
And it was delivered by USPS and not UPS
