I still like my TDK Movie Masters, but even those aren't great as "toys".

But yes, in general movie figures suck hugely so.

Dark Knight Movie Masters were some of the best movie toys ever IMO. I never did get that Batman Begins bats, but I wanted it. And I have a few others... Ghoul Batman & Harvey Dent. They were pretty cool.

The other MM attempts aren't as good though. Ghostbusters has been a disappointment and it doesn't look like they're really trying all that hard with Green Lantern so far.

Well, we know exactly why GB is kinda sucky.

It's definitely gonna be something to watch out for regarding the Lantern line, because wasn't Guru kind of hanging his hat on that one?

Would hate to see fallout (AKA MOTUC becoming even more neutered) if the GL movie lines don't perform.

I figure if the movie fails, the toys fail. If the movie succeeds, the toys'll will be okay. Expectations for those seem to be low, and remember the Avatar guy did get promoted before he quit.

No way will the GL movie touch Avatar's returns though.

Good point though on Avatar toys failing, but I think Avatar itself was so huge that the toys did OK just by catching crumbs off the floor.

I could very see the GL toys tanking regardless of the movie's success, which I think will be good, but not a phenom like TDK, Avatar, etc.

Or the last Star Trek movie, for that matter.

I kinda like the idea that the constructs "shift" around and what not, but the erector set nature of some of them doesn't look that hot.

Yikes. Is that lumpy dude supposed to be Kilowog? I'm getting a serious case of Hunchback of Notre Dame/Warriors of Virtue crossover vibe here... [domo]

He looks pretty awful. I hope the C&C Parallax is either not true or really ugly...

Looks like some horrible factory issues there.
