Indeed it does! I have a left leg promised to me by a friend, which I will collect in a couple weeks --- if I can wait that long! [smile]

Soon I will have Bane up on my shelf... where he can start collecting dust. :matty:

As of yesterday I finally completed Bane!!! A friend of mine gave me the leg I needed --- so I finally assembled him. He's really quite nice. I like him a lot!

Congrats!

I have an opportunity to pick up the BAF Bane, but the current listed price for him is $60. Enough to stop me from buying him outright.

I don't know if I'd pay $60 for Bane outright... but just doing some quick math (see below) I paid $67.53 essentially for my bane, but I did want Robin & Riddler, as well as Creeper & AzBats, which are neat in their own rights. I was especially impressed by AzBats, its a great example of DCUC and the Horsemen at their best! I decided it was actually a better value to buy AzBats MOC rather than just the part. I couldn't see paying $20 for one part when for a few bucks more I could get a whole figure!

Left Leg - Free from Friend
Creeper - $12 (shipped)
Robin - $10.61 (with Matty $5.00 coupon)
Riddler - $15.92
Azbats - $22 (shipped)
Upper Torso - $7 (shipped)

You got 4 single figures in addition to Bane for $67, so that's not bad at all. My personal litmus test is a standard DCUC single figure is worth $8 - $10, and the accompanying CnC piece maybe $5 - $7. So if I can get a complete CnC figure for less than $40 (average $6 per piece x 6 pieces = $36) then it's a reasonable price. Anything over that is way too much.

I think along the same lines. I generally go by the 60/40 rule for figures & C&C parts... If I'm paying $15 for a MOC figure, $9 is going for the figure and $6 is going towards the C&C. Its just sort of a generalization though and not really meant to be any sort of exact formula ---

When this wave was announced I definitely knew I wanted Robin & Riddler. The others I could more or less take or leave, but Creeper & AzBats did interest me so I think I came out pretty good here. Esp. since I didn't end up having to buy Mercury or Hex. Although, I did think Hex came out really nice and if I had to pick him up in order to get the BAF part I wouldn't have done so begrudgingly.

Speaking of Hex, I accidentally dropped him from a height of 2 feet.... and his head snapped off. That's right, the barbell piece that connects the head to the body snapped in two. I have had figures dove off 5-feet tall shelves and survived intact, and this one didn't make a 2-feet drop.

I know this has been brought up again and again, but the plastic used in the DCUC line has been inconsistent at best, downright lousy at worst. My Hex is just the latest addition to my box of DCUC casualties (which contains, among others, a one-armed Donna Troy, a legless Power Girl, a series 1 Batman with swollen hip, a couple others with ankles that weren't assembled properly). I don't recall ever collecting a line with so many incidents of breakage, especially at the higher price points, and I have to say it's frustrating as all hell.

I think I've read about other Jonah's having similar accidents. I also remember about Robins having a lot of QC issues as well.

Many Robins had issues in the ankles - I never even moved the ones on my figure due to how many complaints I read on various forums

Uh, those stupid barbells. Snapped Mercury's hand clean off trying to swap it with his accessory. Wasn't even putting that much pressure on it.
